Graduate Software Developer (Testing)

Watford / London  |  Permanent

Salary: £25,000 - 30,000

Ref: 6383

Are you a recent graduate in Computer Science or similar (or have you experience in a similar role)? Do you have strong knowledge of OOP principles? Looking for an employer where you will be learning from a supportive, skilled team and encouraged to make bold decisions? This role could be ideal…

This business is one of the fastest growing technical test consultancies in the UK, leading the field in BDD and test automation services. They are also one of the longest running which means they know a thing or two about how testing should be done. Being specialists in all things testing means they are adaptable and quick to embrace change and new technologies. Their services are highly sought after by very well-known businesses and organisations across a wide range of industry sectors.

Their values define who they are and the way they do business. They believe in hiring people who are passionate about pushing boundaries to make the impossible possible.

As a Graduate / Junior Software Developer in Test you will learn from a superb team and become an expert in QA within the software development lifecycle. You will be working with some of the brightest technical people that London has to offer on complex, large and challenging projects.

Following the initial training period (during which you will be paid your full salary), you will gain exposure with a range of blue chip clients, across a wide range of business sectors - usually working at the client sites, primarily in and around London but sometimes elsewhere in the UK – or even globally.

You will also have a great deal of autonomy as well as lots of genuine career progression and the opportunity to develop your technical skills quickly. The business will encourage you to believe in yourself and your team, and to make bold decisions- even if it means you are wrong some of the time. The team are close, and supportive of each other.

The main requirement is strong knowledge of OOP principles.

It would be ideal if you have experience with at least one language, for instance Java, C#, PHP etc. Some experience of testing software, and building simple mobile or web applications would be great, as would basic knowledge of databases, executing queries and commands.

Sound good? If so please apply asap-the closing dates on our advertising are for guidance only and we always encourage early applications where possible.
