This employer specialises in digital and customer analytics, generally focused towards marketing and customer service outcomes; they combine analytics, consulting and engineering disciplines. Essentially, this means that they help other businesses to understand their customers, and make their marketing more targeted and profitable.
Notable clients include: Emirates, MTV, Ticketmaster, HSBC, Nationwide, AXA, Standard Life, Dyson, Canon, Hotel Chocolat, Bupa, John Lewis, Gatwick Airport and the Government Digital Service.

They are a small team of experts with a friendly but results focused culture, and have offices in Edinburgh and London.
They are now looking to take on a student over the Summer, for a project that will last between 8-12 weeks- to start in June or July.
Reporting directly to the Senior Data Engineer, you will be helping to manage small projects, some on your own, or others as part of a team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists – and you will be given full support and training.
Specific tasks will include: Requirements elicitation; Solution design; Agile software development – weekly or fortnightly sprints; Unit testing; Technical documentation; Presenting project progress and results to stakeholders and the wider business.
You will be using the following tools and technologies: Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint);
The internship will help the business to deliver proof of concept and prototyping for possible future business opportunities/services.
In return you will develop: project management skills; communication skills across teams divided across multiple offices, and with people with different technical backgrounds; time management planning and organisation skills; programming skills (commercial software design and development); statistical modelling and analysis concepts; understanding of data platforms, analytics platforms and data science.
This means you will be able to give real working environment examples related to these areas when the time comes for you to apply for a graduate role (or perhaps a Sandwich Placement).
This internship is only open to undergraduates who will be returning to study after the Summer (on the same course).
