West Fife, Scotland | Permanent
This business acts as a buying group for independent veterinary practices across the UK. So, for example they can buy certain products in bulk and pass on the savings to the members, therefore improving the member businesses profitability.
Over the years the business has grown rapidly; they have over 360 customers, a turnover in excess of £60m per annum and, for the second year running, are included in the Top 500 Scottish companies.
As well as collectively buying pharmaceuticals, they source equipment, run courses and have recently launched their own-label range of goods.
They are now looking to add a graduate to their relaxed but professional team, which currently has five office based staff, together with an IT support specialist and two business managers who work off site.
Duties are many and varied, and will include dealing with customer queries, processing data and setting up new accounts. There will be the opportunity to organise courses, set up meetings and attend industry functions both work and social.
You will be reporting directly to the Office Manager and training will be provided; the ideal profile would be someone who enjoys speaking with others, who wants to use their initiative, and has good written abilities (including spelling- they deal with some complex drug names so accuracy is important). A clean driving license would be useful but not essential.
There is some flexibility on degree types, though something business related may be particularly relevant.
The offices are based in west-Fife: south of Alloa and commutable from Dunfermline, Stirling and Falkirk.
