This business is a global organisation with 40 years of experience in providing total solutions for electronic Test Equipment, helping users deploy equipment when and where needed in the most cost-effective way.
The business has an excellent track record of employing and developing graduates, and are looking to add an Engineering graduate, with strong spoken and written German language skills, to the test and measurement team based in Harrow, Middlesex (near underground and overground stations, and commutable from north London, Watford, Edgeware, Wembley, Uxbridge). While an Electrical / Electronic Engineering degree is preferred, other such as Aerospace will be considered.
You will either be working as a Technician, or Engineer- depending on your preference and skills.
The Technician role is part of a team of engineers, carrying out operational testing across a broad range of products to ensure that the equipment which is sent out to the customer functions correctly. This may be manual testing in a laboratory setting or semi-automated using test scripts on a computerised calibration system.
The Engineer role is more about test and measurement, and includes work related to quality and productivity, order preparation, asset availability (performing Operational Verifications (OPV) and moving assets from ‘inspection’ status to ‘available’ in a timely manner), and working with calibration systems, operating and improving semi-automated Metcal calibration systems.
For both roles, as you get to know the full product range, you will start to work directly with customers to offer knowledgeable technical support across the whole range.
