This independent think-tank which provides intelligence to help the financial services industry implement regulatory change in a better, faster, cheaper and safer manner is looking for a Graduate Data Analyst to join their established research team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Research, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of research projects and solutions, in a client facing and supporting role.
Responsibilities will include:
Analysis. A level of responsibility for the production of data to support research projects or for input into the regulatory data management platform.
Quality assurance. Very close attention to detail, the ability to spot errors in data and a care for accuracy. The data analyst will have responsibility for ensuring the quality of large amounts of data.
Process. A respect for process and the ability to ensure that a process is followed closely and correctly. The data analyst will have responsibility for ensuring that research and data collection processes are delivered to the highest standard.
Applicants will be graduates from a subject where handling and analysing data has been a large part of the course. You must also have well developed written skills so essay writing will probably have been a large part of the course too. Suitable subjects include Maths, Psychology, Economics or Science based subjects.
You must be able to demonstrate the following:
Strong data analysis skills.
Advanced knowledge of Excel functions such as V Look up, pivot tables etc.
Very close attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
