This London based agency services the sponsorship requirements of top tier sports, music and entertainment personnel around the world. For example, brokering a shirt sponsorship deal between a football team and a business. They are looking for a graduate to join their research team.
In a nutshell, you will be researching, identifying and contacting businesses that may be open to sponsoring sports and music personalities and teams. While there is a lot of analytical work, you should also be happy speaking with people.
You will apply qualitative and quantitative analysis to interpret data, create reports and make recommendations when presenting the findings. This is a unique opportunity to develop your research, analytical and business skills, whilst learning about the sports and music industry and top tier requirements, alongside the understanding of the day to day operations of a sports agency.
The business has a strong record of taking on, and developing graduates, and this opportunity will be an initial 12 week internship, and if all goes well there could be an extension or a permanent position- this is definitely the aim, they want someone permanently but want to see how it goes first, and you can also make sure the role is right for you. Salary for the permanent role would be around 20k plus bonuses.
You should have a minimum 2.1 in English, Economics, Politics, Business Studies or any relevant analytical discipline, together with an overall strong educational background including good A level results.
As a large part of the role will be research focused, you should also have good Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to obtain, analyse and tabulate data to identify key hooks. A great interest in sport, and some knowledge of the sports sponsorship industry is required.
