Business Investment Trainee

Somerset  |  Permanent

Salary: £30,000

Ref: 6489

This Private Venture Capitalist firm is achieving ground-breaking things every day, investing on a diverse portfolio of investments, across a wide range of industries, and has outperformed all UK listed investment funds since it began 10 years ago. They are looking for four graduates with a Business related degree to join them.

This truly is an exceptional and career changing opportunity and will offer you the chance to learn first-hand from renowned business investors in a very hands-on and direct approach within a team directly influenced by the founder, who has started and grown businesses worth up to £3.5bn. Having retired in his 30s, he decided to help others by investing £100 million into start-up companies.

You don’t need to have achieved a first or gone to a top University, but you will need the commitment to learn and work hard, and the desire to succeed. You should be able to demonstrate evidence of this, perhaps from working when at school, doing sports to a decent level, or working part-time whilst at University. A Business related degree is essential (ie Business Studies or similar).

It’s not a 9-5 job, and a typical day will include:

• Conducting due diligence, investigating and researching everything and anything on a new potential investment, really understanding it from the ground up and the risks involved in the investment.
• Training through listening, watching and attending investment and strategy meetings
• Taking direction and advice, given by top investment team members
• Taking the time to study material, recommended by the leading experts in the industry

The role is based out of stunning hi-spec private offices, with 30 acres of green land surrounding it, along with in house gym and fresh lunches provided every day. Based in-between beautiful Glastonbury and Wells, it is commutable from areas including Bath, Bristol and Yeovil. If you need to relocate that is ok for the right person, and some assistance may be provided, including help with interview travel expenses.

Due to location, and travel to meetings, you will need a full UK valid driving license (within 3 months of start date) and access to your own car- however, if you are learning to drive and can pass within 3 months of start date you will be considered.
