Ever wondered how your biscuits are built? Fascinated by manufacturing processes? This automation company based in the East Midlands dreams up innovative manufacturing solutions for the food processing, automotive and general manufacturing industries. Their products include robotics, conveyor systems and assembly machinery. They've more than doubled their turnover in the past year and have ambitious plans to grow further in the coming year. To do this, they are looking for graduate engineers to join their team of experienced engineers.
In this varied role, you will create, draft and design product layouts and schemes using customer specification and recommendations. Using the whole Solidworks suite, you will generate assembly, detail, exploded and bending drawings for manufacture and assembly, whilst defining clear build processes for the technicians. You will have the opportunity to attend and have input at various projects meetings both with the project teams and customers, all the time-solving problems and producing new concepts. You will manage suppliers and ensure that bills of materials for procurement are set up correctly and will have ample opportunity to use innovation and research into the latest ideas and techniques.
Applicants must first and foremost have a passion for solving engineering problems. You will have already graduated from an engineering degree with a strong mechanical engineering element. You must be a confident user of Solidworks as well as having the ability to execute core engineering calculations. You will be a team worker, with the desire to communicate with and learn from your colleagues, with a collaborative approach to getting the job done. With a continuous improvement mindset, you must be able to demonstrate that you can work on your own initiative whilst delivering professional customer service.
