Our client is seeking a motivated Graduate Backend Engineer or Full-Stack Developer to join our team in building a next-generation ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting platform powered by AI agents.
 
You will work closely with their product and AI teams to design scalable back-end systems, manage data workflows, and contribute to seamless AI integration into our reporting tools. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong foundation in data structures, and algorithms
• Hands-on experience with a backend language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
• Understanding of database concepts (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Awareness or interest in AI/ML systems integration
• Familiarity with Git and version control best practices

 
In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain backend services using modern frameworks like Node.js, Express, or Django. You’ll work closely with our AI/ML engineers to seamlessly integrate intelligent agents into real-world workflows. Your responsibilities will include developing secure, scalable APIs for our front-end applications, managing databases (both relational like PostgreSQL and NoSQL like MongoDB), and occasionally collaborating with the front-end team on full-stack features—React or Next.js experience is a plus. You’ll also take part in technical planning, code reviews, and help shape the overall system architecture by writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Desirable Skills

• Experience with AI-related APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face, DeepSeek)
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Vercel, GCP, etc.)
• Previous internships or personal projects involving backend systems or full-stack apps
• Interest in sustainability and ESG topics
