MTM Products is a long-established manufacturer of industrial labelling and branding solutions, serving sectors including automotive, rail, medical, and electrical. Certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, they are proud to be a UL Solutions Authorised Label Supplier. As they embark on their digital transformation journey, they are looking for a forward-thinking intern to help them modernise operations through AI and automation.
 
This internship offers a unique chance to apply your digital skills in a real-world SME environment. You'll work directly with the team to identify inefficiencies, automate manual tasks, and implement AI-driven solutions that improve customer response times, operational efficiency, and data accuracy.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Map and analyse current workflows across departments
• Identify and prioritise tasks suitable for automation
• Design and implement AI or low-code automation solutions (e.g., RPA, chatbots)
• Monitor performance improvements using data analytics
• Engage with staff to support adoption and deliver training
• Develop a roadmap for scaling digital tools post-internship
• Create a training plan or job spec to support future AI capability development

About You
 
A motivated student or recent graduate of Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence, Data Science / Analytics, Business Information Technology / Information Systems, Digital Business / Digital Transformation, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (with digital modules) or any other relevant degrees.

The internship is due to start on 29th September 2025 and run for 7 weeks. IF you are studying in the East Midlands, you may be able to complete the internship on a part time basis around your studies.
