This growing Nottingham based engineering company are seeking an engineer graduate to join their driven team and want someone who shares their passion for the industry.
The Role
You will gain exposure to a variety of aspects across the business, and you will need to adapt to what project you are working on. This could be meeting with clients or helping design to project specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with the Sales team you will use Solidworks and AutoCAD to transform sales layouts into real-life designs.
- Perform calculations (e.g., throughput and cycle time) to determine suitable equipment
- Analyse client operations and create material flow diagrams to improve efficiency
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Project teams) to ensure high-quality delivery
- Produce designs that meet cost, schedule, and specification requirements
- Contribute to improving efficiency across departments
- Run simulations to model and test different scenarios
- Develop and present comprehensive project proposals
The company is looking for a recent graduate who demonstrates a strong interest in engineering projects and has a proactive, detail-oriented approach to their work. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in an Engineering or a related discipline and will possess excellent organisational and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with a variety of stakeholders. A willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges is highly valued.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet would be advantageous. An interest in technology, logistics, or industrial automation would further enhance your suitability for the role.

- Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD experience
