Established in 1912, G.H. Hurt & Son is a renowned Nottingham-based manufacturer of luxury knitted baby products and accessories. As a family-run business with a global customer base, they combine traditional British craftsmanship with modern e-commerce operations, supplying both wholesale trade customers and consumers worldwide through online platforms.
As part of our ongoing digital transformation programme, they are seeking a motivated Digital Systems & Automation Intern to help implement and integrate key business platforms across the organisation.

The Opportunity
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience delivering a real-world digital transformation project within a growing manufacturing business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support the implementation and integration of HubSpot, Shopify, SparkLayer B2B and Xero, helping create a connected digital ecosystem that improves efficiency across sales, marketing, finance and e-commerce functions.
 
The internship will follow a work pattern of 25 hours a week for 6 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to develop practical experience in business systems, digital transformation, CRM, e-commerce and process automation.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
You will:
  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Support the implementation and configuration of HubSpot, Shopify, SparkLayer B2B and Xero.
  • Assist with testing integrations and ensuring accurate data flows between systems.
  • Support the migration of customer, sales, product and financial data from legacy systems.
  • Carry out data validation and quality checks.
  • Help customise dashboards, reports, workflows and automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues identified during testing and implementation.
  • Create user guides, process documentation and training materials.
  • Maintain records of project progress and outcomes.
  • Produce a final project handover document with recommendations for future development.

About You
 We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, analytical and keen to develop their digital and business technology skills. Suitable degree subjects may include: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Management or other related technology and digital disciplines
