Based in Bingley, West Yorkshire, you'll join a collaborative team of engineers, designers and project professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality projects. The Role As a Graduate Civil Engineering CAD Technician, you will support the design team in producing technical drawings and design information for a variety of engineering and development projects. You'll receive training and mentoring while developing your skills in design software, engineering principles and project delivery.
Day-to-day activities include:
  • Producing and updating technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Assisting with site and infrastructure design work, including drainage, levels and earthworks modelling.
  • Interpreting survey information, site data and engineering drawings to support project development.
  • Working closely with engineers, designers and project managers to develop practical design solutions.
  • Supporting the preparation and coordination of design information from initial concept through to construction. 
Person Specification We're looking for an enthusiastic graduate who is keen to develop a career within civil engineering, infrastructure or technical design.
You should have:
  • A degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, CAD, Engineering Design or a related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
  • An interest in infrastructure, construction, land development, utilities, highways, environmental or multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to produce accurate technical work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning new skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A willingness to develop technical knowledge through training and mentoring.
Desirable but not essential:
  • Experience using Civil 3D, Revit or other design software.
  • Placement, internship or project experience within an engineering, construction or design environment.
  • An understanding of drainage, levels, site design or construction principles.
