Hi, I’m Ginika — passionate about helping students unlock their potential and confidently step into the professional world.

As the University Placement Executive, I support students from the University of Greenwich Faculty of Engineering and Science in securing, retaining, and thriving in their full time jobs. To achieve this, I get involved with Stakeholder management, business development, facilitating skills appraisal sessions and delivering employability skills training, to state a few. This role allows me to be involved in our student’s journey to achieving career readiness and success in roles they dream to be in.

As the University Liaison, I work to develop strong partnerships with universities across the country to raise awareness of Step’s services.

The piece of advice I would give would be, don’t let your setbacks define you, use it as a stepping stone to achieve the goal you’ve set for yourself, and don’t stick to the conventional ways of securing a job. It is convenient to click the easy apply button on LinkedIn or Indeed, but how about a different approach to contacting a company, an approach that displays your passion, interest, and eagerness in pursuing a role within their company and the industry.

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, reading, cooking and animal videos. I am a loyal Manchester United fan, so I enjoy keeping up with club updates and watching football- ironically, the intensity of the game calms me.
