The Higher Education landscape is becoming increasingly competitive with graduate outcomes and league table places being closely linked to employability. Careers and Employability teams are often stretched, supporting undergraduates, postgraduate courses and recent graduates.
Step is able to provide an outsourced placement service to overstretched careers services. With our 30 + years’ experience in delivering internships, placements and first graduate jobs, we are known for our close links with industry.
In August 2020 we were awarded a contract by The University of Greenwich to work with the Faculty of Engineering and Science and the Natural Resources Institute to provide Employability support and generate around 250 placements per year for their Master’s students. This partnership was extended in 2025 for a further 3-5 years.
During the summer of 2025 Step partnered with ESCP Business School to support their MBA International Management students in finding 12 month placements during autumn 2025.
We regularly support our local East Midlands Universities by hosting students on taster days, hosting graduate internships and delivering workshops alongside widening participation and social mobility programmes.
