If you picked up a packet of wildflower seeds, here are the planting instructions:
- Enjoys Full Sun or partial shade
- Includes over 20 types of flower seed
- Provides a habitat for many species of wildlife
Sow directly where they are to flower at 2g per square metre on to a prepared seed bed which has been cleared of weeds and debris and raked to a fine tilth. Scatter the seed evenly and thinly, don’t cover the seed simply firm in by rolling or treading to give good seed to soil contact.
Water until established and control weeds to avoid competition.
Species include Purple Tansy, Californian Poppy, Cornflowers, Red Clover, Burnet, Black Medic, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Sainfoin, Field Poppy, Corncockle, Borage, Bitter Blue Lupin, Chicory, Gypsophilla, Soapwort, Safflower, Love In A Mist, Linum, Dwarf Morning Glory, Cosmos, Zinnia, Four o’ Clock, Scentless Mayweed, Pot Marigold and more.

Flowers: May, June, July, August, September
If you picked up some sunflower seeds, here are the planting instructions:
- Requires full sun
- Space 60–90 cm apart
- Grows in 75–90 days
Sowing: Start indoors (avoid root-binding) or sow directly into well-drained soil (prepared 60–90 cm deep with manure and compost).
Care: Use screens to protect seeds from birds and squirrels. Once growing, fertilise regularly with high-nitrogen feed and water deeply at the roots.
Support: Stake plants to prevent toppling during high winds.
Planting Season: Spring (after frost risk)
Flowering Season: Summer months
