Your role as a Finance & Admin Assistant is to support the finance department by assisting with various financial and accounting tasks and supporting the wider office by assisting with various admin tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger - Assist in the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger control accounts.
- Bank Administration & Reconciliation - Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Including downloading and filing bank statements. Monitoring and setting up Credit Cards
- Financial Reporting - Generate and distribute financial reports as required, contributing to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

- VAT Returns
- Provide cover in the accounts as required: AP, AR, Shipments, Payroll
- Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting
- Administration of Leases: Cars, Photocopiers
- Agree Sales/VAT to VAT Return
- Providing Cover and assisting other teams members with day-to-day tasks
- Office admin
Desired skills:
- Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping principles.
- AAT qualification is beneficial
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (V-look ups, Pivot tables, graphs).
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
