The main accountabilities of this role consists of:
- Assist Development & Design in the execution of styles from concept to launch. Responsible for day-to-day product development & footwear admin tasks.
- Bring to market a world class “on brand” product, built and engineered to the brand's design aesthetics & attention to detail.
- Always be forward thinking, independently plan and organise workload & challenge the “norm”.
- Have commercial awareness, supplier knowledge & a willingness to learn new skills.
- Support the design team with creating and updating trim & branding Strike Offs.
- Collaborate with Development on new material, trim and logo developments.
- Prioritise sustainable materials, trims & packaging.
- Support design to put together material briefs for material sourcing. Organise and maintain the material library.
- Assist in the initial creation of the Bill of Materials document in conjunction with the product team.
- Support the team to ensure all techpacks are of the highest standard and can be accurately translated by the factory.
- Interact frequently with factories and material suppliers through site visits & video meetings. Coordinate daily communication with all suppliers to manage samples & new developments under the supervision of the team.
- Help chase factories for all sample stages and be prepared to visit them to ensure that timelines are met, if requested to do so.
- Support the team to stick to the critical path & to execute a well-balanced and commercial range plan. Ensure all timelines are met.
- Help to set up styles, update and maintain footwear information on the PLM system with support of the team.
- Attend fit sessions and proto reviews, to assist and learn new technical skills to ensure that all footwear is fit for purpose.
- Responsible for sample management and keeping the Development Tracker up to date.
- Support on the approving of confirmation & shipment samples.
Essential Criteria
- A passion for footwear and the branded market.
- A fashion or relevant degree.
- Knowledge and passion for sustainability.
- PLM/ data management experience.
- Footwear knowledge.
Desirable Criteria
- Hands on when required. Be prepared to assist the team, at all times.
- General assistant level experience working in Product Development function.
