Hopespare Ltd is a UK-based engineering company specialising in hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid transfer systems. They support a wide range of industries including manufacturing, specialist vehicles, energy and data centres, helping businesses keep critical systems running efficiently.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a digitally skilled intern to lead a key transformation project, focused on improving how Hopespare manage customer data, sales activity and service operations. The current system, lacks integration with Microsoft Outlook, resulting in fragmented data and inefficiencies.
This internship offers the opportunity to design and deliver a working CRM solution - either by improving the existing system or supporting the development of a new integrated solution. It will be for 6 weeks (225 hours) with a potential for an extension and both part time and full time candidates will be considered.
What You'll Be Working On
- Analyse and diagnose issues with the current process
- Review and cleanse customer and contact data
- Design and structure CRM data models aligned with ERP systems
- Map business workflows across sales, service, and projects
- Explore and test integration between CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Outlook
- Support API integration and data automation processes
- Contribute to a proof-of-concept CRM solution (existing or new system)
- Document findings, recommendations, and technical solutions
About you
We are looking for a motivated student or recent graduate with an interest in software engineering, digital systems and automation. Relevant disciplines include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science / Data Analytics, IT and Digital Transformation or similar.
Skills & Experience:
- An Understanding of CRM/ERP systems would be beneficial
- Knowledge of data structures, databases, or data modelling
- Experience with Excel or data analysis tools
- Awareness of APIs, integrations, or automation workflows
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Power Platform desirable)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience, working on a solution for a real world business challenge. You will work directly with senior members of the team, offering mentorship but also space for independent work.
The internship is due to start at the start of July 2026 for 225 hours which can be completed full time or part time around your studies.
