The Opportunity
This manufacturer design business is investing in the next generation of their business leaders.

Their Programme which trains and develops emerging executive leaders, is a two-year journey designed for ambitious, high-potential individuals who aspire to become senior leaders.
 
Unlike a traditional graduate programme, from day one you will be taking ownership of a business-critical project, working directly with senior executives and gaining the experience, coaching and exposure needed to prepare for a future senior level role.
By the end of the programme, the goal is for successful Future Leaders to be ready to step into a Head of Department-level position and play a key role in shaping the company's future growth.
 
The role does also involve international travel to the United States and China, as you will be leading cross-functional working groups across these company sites and completing executive shadowing across departments to build a whole-business view. It is a hybrid position working 4 days a week in the Sheffield office and one day a week from home.
 
What You'll Be Doing
As a Future Leader in training, you'll be given responsibility that genuinely matters and impacts the business. The work involved in this role will include:

• Leading a strategic, board-sponsored project from concept through to delivery.
• Defining project goals, milestones and success measures.
• Working with colleagues across the UK, USA and China.
• Managing stakeholders, budgets, risks and project outcomes.
• Presenting recommendations and progress updates to the Executive Team and Board.
• Conducting research, analysis and problem-solving to support strategic decision-making.

 
The project will be one of various ideas that is currently waiting in the business pipeline, ready for you to plan, manage and execute. Potential projects cover areas such as digital transformation, sustainability, data, product, customer experience, commercial growth or people & culture.
 
Your Leadership Development and Support
Alongside your project responsibilities, you'll complete a structured senior leadership development programme equipping you with the key skills and knowledge through a planned curriculum. This will include: Executive mentoring from a Board Sponsor, Senior leader shadowing opportunities, Strategy and commercial leadership training, Finance for leaders and business acumen development, People leadership and change management training and Executive communication coaching. Additionally, there will be 360-degree feedback and personal development planning and Exposure to global business operations.
 
About You
We're seeking ambitious individuals who have the potential to become future business leaders. Applicants with a Master's level degree in Business Management, Commercial Management, MBA, Digital Business, Leadership, Strategy, Operations, Data, Sustainability or a related discipline are expected to be well suited to this opportunity and have relevant experience. Other key skills and backgrounds include:

• A commercial mindset and interest in business performance.
• The confidence to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organisation.
